Happy Valentine's Day

One of my prayers (I think I have mentioned this before) when we moved was that we would end up in a neighborhood / area where I could develop friendships, as well as friendships for the girls. I have no doubt that God put us exactly where He did in Plainfield, because that was how I met Karen. I wanted to be somewhere would I could meet people, especially since I was going to be staying home with the girls.

I feel so blessed to have such a great playgroup in our neighborhood! It isn't by coincidence that there are several moms that are new to staying home, many of which have new babies born within the past 6 to 8 months (as well as at least one older child). We have weekly playgroups on Fridays at rotating houses, monthly outings for just the moms, and other outings throughout the month for the kids. I have really developed some friendships with the other moms, and I am so thankful for that. Ella enjoys going to the playgroups and playing with the other kids, even though most of them are younger than her.

One mom from the group decided to start a bi-monthly art/music playgroup. Today was the first day, and Ella was thrilled. . . music, dancing, art project, and cookie decorating . . . to her, an ideal day! It was a lot of fun. I am just constantly reminded how God answers prayer - and sometimes we don't see the answers until some time later.
