8 months!

I can't believe 8 months have passed already! We had an incredible sitter (we love you Sheri!) with Ella who took monthly pictures to mark each milestone. I feel like I would be a bad mother to not do the same for Kinsley, so these were some of her 8 month old pictures - taken out in the back yard today in a quick 5 minutes before Ella woke up from her nap. They still count!:)

Still waiting on hair, as you can tell! She is so much fun, though. She absolutely loves Ella and giggles every time Ella comes around her. She laughs, plays peekaboo, would rather stand than sit or lay down, would rather roll than anything so feels no need to even try to learn to crawl, and has decided she would rather feed herself finger food (thank goodness for puffs) instead of be fed by someone else! What a joy and a blessing we have in our two girls!

Weekend Celebrating!

This past weekend, we decided to do a quick getaway to Cincinnati (for both Mother's Day and Ronnie's 36th Birthday. We had a great time, and the girls loved swimming in the hotel pool. It is interesting to me, though, how God has wired us. I mean, from the minute we become parents, it is as if every part of us, down to the way our brain works, instantly changes! We spent the weekend swimming in a hotel pool, mainly the kiddy pool, going to the Aquarium, going to bed early (since all the lights and noise should diminish somewhat early), eating kid friendly food, etc . . . and it was perfect! It is amazing how much joy it brings for both Ronnie and I to see our girls smile, giggle, laugh, and enjoy life. We couldn't ask for better gifts!
